
Returns & Warranty Policy
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied, you can return the product to us within 7-days and we will either repair / replace it, or credit your account, subject to the below terms.
This Policy applies to products bought from Sable Energy (Pty) Ltd itself.
This Policy forms part of the Sable Energy (Pty) Ltd Terms and Conditions, and so words defined in the Terms and Conditions have the same meaning in this Policy, unless the context indicates otherwise.
Preparing Your Products For A Return:
To ensure your request is processed as quickly as possible you are responsible for the following when returning your products;
• Package your products safely and securely for protection during transit;
• Clearly mark your return reference number on the outside of the parcel; and
• Include all accessories and parts that were sold with the product.
Failure to adhere to any of these requirements could delay the processing of your request or result in its decline altogether. Transport costs applicable.
Proof of Purchase required under all circumstances. Due to POPIA Act, Sable Energy will only deal with original purchaser.
Unwanted Products:
You can return an unwanted product to us, provided:
• It is undamaged and unused, with the original labels and stickers still attached;
• It is not missing any accessories or parts;
• You log a return via email (info@sable-energy.co.za) within 7 days of delivery to you or collection by you of the unwanted product. Cancellation fees will be applicable.
Want to Exchange?
We allow you to exchange a product provided the product is not damaged and the product is still in its original condition. In such a case, we will collect the product from you and deliver the requested product to you at a charge equal to the courier cost and a R2 500.00 administration fee. We are entitled to inspect the product to validate your return.
Product Damaged on Delivery:
Should a product be damaged or missing any parts or accessories at the time of delivery / collection, please notify us immediately of such delivery / collection by logging a return via email (info@sable-energy.co.za)
We will arrange to collect the product from you at no charge.We will inspect the product and validated your return.
Defective Products:
We do our best to ensure that the products we deliver to you are of a high quality, and in good working order and without defects.
What is a defect
A defect is a material imperfection in the manufacture of a product or any characteristic of a product, which makes the product less acceptable than one would reasonably be entitled to expect in the circumstances.
The following will NOT be regarded as defects and will not entitle you to a return under this section:
• Faults resulting from normal wear and tear;
• Damage due to poor or unqualified installation;
• Damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product;
• Damage arising from electrical surges or sea air corrosion;
• Damage arising from a failure to adequately care or maintain the product;
• Damage arising from unauthorised alterations to the product;
• Where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you; and Signs of handling and/or repackaging and/or opening of product casing.
Charges and Refunds
If you return a defective product to us, but you fail to return all of the accessories and parts that were sold with that product, we are entitled to (subject to applicable law) refuse the return, only to replace the item that you did return, or to estimate the value of the missing accessories and parts and only to credit or refund you in respect of the returned item. If you return a product that does not comply with this Policy, you may be liable to reimburse Sable Energy for the cost of collecting the product from you and the cost of having the product returned to you.
Please note that we only refund to your nominated bank account.
Refunds requested for ANY reason WILL be charged a cancellation fee of up to 7% of contract amount as well as any and all traveling costs and admin costs. All refunds will be processed 30-working days after written approval has been received from Sable Energy.
Delivery and waiting period does not applicate to refund requests as this is a manufactured product.
Standard Warranty
If you have received a product which turns out to be defective or otherwise of poor quality, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible after you become aware of the defect or poor quality.You can do so by logging a warranty claim via email to info@sable-energy.co.za, and we will arrange to check the product. Once we have inspected the product and validated your warranty, we will repair or replace the product.
Sable Energy provides the following warranty periods, commencing from the date of delivery:
1.1.1 Electronic Parts: 5 (five) years; 1.1.2 Batteries: 8 (eight) years; 1.1.3 Solar Panels: 12 (twelve) years (where applicable). -DEMO stock comes with a 6-month standard warranty unless otherwise indicated.
1.2 The warranty shall be void and unenforceable in the event of: 1.2.1 Wilful or accidental damage; 1.2.2 Damage caused by Acts of God; 1.2.3 Power surge damage; 1.2.4 Installation by unqualified persons; 1.2.5 Improper operation or use; 1.2.6 Unauthorised repairs or modifications; 1.2.7 Normal wear and tear; 1.2.8 Corrosion damage; 1.2.9 Opening of the unit by unauthorised persons.
1.3 All warranty claims must be submitted in writing to info@sable-energy.co.za. Sable Energy undertakes to respond to service calls within 36 (thirty-six) hours. The User shall be liable for repair costs where the fault is determined to be due to out of scope of warranty. All warranty claims are subject to approval of validity of claim, acceptable of such lies solely with Sable Energy.
Cancellations and Termination
1.1.1 Invalid Grounds for Cancellation
The following circumstances shall not constitute valid grounds for cancellation, and any cancellation requested will be subject to the full cancellation fee of 7% plus all costs incurred:
